Discovering America!

beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties

Some of our best adventures have been in our own backyard. Actually, we live in an apartment without the joys of a backyard, but traveling our own country's backyard has produced beautiful pictures and wonderful memories. With 50 States and 3.5 million square miles to explore, America should keep us busy for some time to come.
In September 2005, we added to our National Park list by visiting both Yellowstone and Grand Tetons in Wyoming for a two week camping trip. We saw lots of wildlife and hiked through several ecosystems in a return-to-nature relaxation trip. This was our second camping trip together, after visiting the Grand Canyon in May 2004 for our first camping trip. To view both vacations, click on the menu.
