So who are Kelly and Ian? Here's a little bio, so you can get to know us better...

We met at Drake University in Des Moines, IA, where Kelly graduated with a degree in PR/Journalism, and Ian graduated with a degree in Biology. Ian was also captain of the men’s track team, and competed in decathlon and pole vault. Kelly’s focus during school was event planning. She was active with the Drake Relays Executive Committee and had an internship with the Iowa Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, coordinating the Iowa MS 150 Dome-to-Dome two-day Bike Tour. This Tour would be the first of many for Kelly, as she went on to work with both the Lone Star and Greater Illinois Chapters of the National MS Society.

After graduating, Ian and Kelly moved to Dallas, TX and were married in January of 2000. Shortly after the honeymoon, we adopted an adorable yet anxiety-filled little puppy – a very soft shepherd/terrier mix we found at Operation Kindness (a great no-kill shelter in Carrollton, TX). We named her Andie Jo. A few months later, we decided to give her a little sister, for company and to balance out her many anxieties. The new addition was a husky/cattledog mix we named Amie, and both pups served as our children until we decided to have the real thing.

In 2002, Ian decided to go back to school and begin the unpredictable life of a medical student, taking Kelly along for the ride. We spent 16-months living in the Commonwealth of Dominica, a Caribbean island located in the West Indies Lesser Antillies, where Ian completed the first four semesters of Ross University School of Medicine. It was an amazing experience both for changing lifestyles and seeing the world. Ian was able to thrive in the med school environment, and we both had a unique opportunity to grow closer to God through church and fewer distractions. Ian finished his final years of med school with clinical rotations in Miami, Washington DC, and Chicago, the last of which was home for almost two years.

In June 2006, the med school adventure came to a happy ending as Ian graduated with highest honors from medical school and began his first year of residency with Methodist Health Care System in the family/sports medicine program at Methodist Charleton, a return for us back to Dallas. In addition to graduation, a major move, and first time homeownership, we also began the adventure of parenthood in 2006. Kaitlyn Olivia Tullberg was born on Sept 16, weighing 6 lbs 9 oz and measuring 20.5" long. She absolutely changed out lives and has been the most amazing blessing from above.

We settled into our routine in Dallas as resident, nonprofit marketing director (Kelly earned her Masters in 2008), and new parents. However, 2009 started an entirely new adventure, as we welcomed our second daughter, graduated residency and moved to Colorado. Kamryn Noelle Tullberg was born on Feb 2, weighing 7 lbs 11 oz and measuring 20.5" long. She has been the perfect addition to our family and proved that you can love two babies equally and completely. In July, after Ian graduated residency, we packed up our family and moved to Colorado Springs, where Ian now works as a Family/Sports Medicine Physician with the Army (civilian doc). Kelly is embracing life as a stay at home mom of two growing young girls, while also operating our new small business, InK Photography & Design. It has been amazing to see where God has taken us, and we are so thankful for where we have landed.
